We are a group of enthusiasts from different countries studying and working around the world. For brief information and bios of AzEconers click here.
2) What is the main aim in developing this site?
The main aim is spreading economic and business information about Azerbaijan. By collecting all available information at one site we facilitate the process of research for interested individuals and organizations. By doing this we aim to achieve better understanding of economic life and developments in Azerbaijan
3) What is the point of creating AzEcon if all information is already publicly available?That is our primary reason in deciding to launch AzEcon! Yes, this information is freely available on the Internet, but it takes so much time to browse through myriads of sites, and not finding the necessary piece after all is very frustrating. By gathering all that information at one place will help solve that problem at once.
4) In what languages are the materials on AzEcon?There is no discrimination against any language, but preference is given to materials in Azerbaijani, English, Russian, and Turkish. Due to limited physical and time resources most of currently available information is in English. We apologize for any inconvenience.
5) Where do you obtain the materials?Mainly, we use those materials which are freely available online. In the future as we expand we plan to collaborate with individual researchers and organizations by disseminating their original researches. Statistical data section, not quite ready for now, is also freely available from many different sources.
6) I have an interesting information and want to share it with others? How can I do this?We welcome any kind of assistance, especially that enriching our collection by providing us with any piece of information, research, news, etc. You can send any available information to AzEcon@yahoo.com either as inline text, attachment, or simply send us a full URL/link where we can find it ourselves.
