  1. New AzEcon service: Students

Understanding the importance of encouraging future economists, AzEcon is about to launch its new service: Students

In this section students will be able to post their university works and share their thoughts and views on Azerbaijani economy with their colleagues. All students are encouraged to submit their course works

Given the constraints, we will accept only those works written by students in graduate programs and Diploma works of undergraduate students (Senior thesis).

  1. AzEcon recognized by the Azerbaijan International Magazine (http://www.azer.com)

The tributes have been paid to AzEcon in the last, Spring 2002, issue of the Azerbaijan International (AI), an independent magazine published since 1993 and committed to the discussion of issues related to Azerbaijanis around the world. In a special section devoted to student activities related to Azerbaijan, Jamal Ismayilov, one of the co-founders, introduces AzEcon to the wide public and talks about its history.

A timely article, in the most reputable international magazine about Azerbaijan, it sheds light on the newcomer website and gives a good encouragement to the readers of the magazine to visit and check personally out this new discovery.

The article will soon be available online on the following address: www.azer.com

  1. For Economists & Academicians

In order to promote existing economic literature related to Azerbaijan, we decided to directly appeal to economists, academicians and all others working in any fields related to Economics, to send their works and thus be able to reach the wide audience that AzEcon ensures.

Send your works to AzEcon@yahoo.com with Research in the Subject line. You can send us your works in any format. We will change all .doc files to .pdf in order to better preserve quality and format. Please, try not to send files larger than 1 MB

All members of AzEcon are encouraged to spread this announcement to their professors and fellow economists.
